This wedding was super special to me.  I’ve known Lauren since middle school.  In high school we got to be great friends, passing the time together in home room, or practicing knowledge bowl questions at lunch.  We were also super nerdy at the time.  We were in video production together and wanted to go into film school someday.  Then we graduated high school and went our separate ways, she went to Boulder, and I went to San Francisco and I eventually moved to France.  When I got back from Paris and moved to Palo Alto, I learned that Lauren was in the area too!  She had met this guy named Brad in college and followed him out to the west coast where he was getting his Ph. D.  It was so great to reconnect with her and become friends again.  When she went away to PA school, I got the chance to get to know Brad even more, occasionally dog sitting or house sitting.  About two years ago, when I was just starting my photography business they asked me to do their engagement photos.  Here’s a look back at my very first engagement session.
